Description
Bistrita River, winding gracefully through the North-Eastern Carpathian Mountains of Romania, carries with it the quiet stories of generations. For centuries, it has been more than just a river; its steady flow has shaped a way of life rooted in harmony with nature. Villages along its banks thrived on its steady presence: fishing, small-scale farming, and timber gathering connected the community to the rhythms of life.
Artists and craftsmen found a source of materials and inspiration alike, allowing traditional culture to flow alongside the river. The narrow, rustic suspension bridge made of weathered wooden planks, stretches across, flanked on both sides by lush green foliage. The dense greenery creates a tunnel-like effect, leading the viewer’s eye into the verdant distance. This photograph highlights the interconnection between human-made structures and the natural world.
