Description
Costa Vicentina, located along the southwestern coast of Portugal, offers a rugged and raw landscape shaped by the Atlantic Ocean. During the stormy months of the spring, large waves crash against the rocky shoreline, sending spray high into the air, showing the relentless force of nature. The coastline is marked by steep cliffs and jagged rocks, creating a dramatic landscape. This image was taken after a spring storm, when the thick, dark clouds, started to slowly break allowing the first rays of sun to appear through the gaps. This subtle light softened the contrast between the turbulent waters and land. Walking on the shore, I could smell the salty, damp soil filling the air, mixed with the fresh scent brought by the rain. The wind carried a persistent chill despite the incoming sun. In moments like this, Costa Vicentina feels both untamed and alive, a place where the elements interact continuously.
