Description
A small stream meanders gently across Bandon Beach, forming a natural connection for the salty waters in the Pacific Ocean to flow steadily onshore. Walking along the beach, I can feel the golden sands shift beneath my feet while the cool ocean breeze carries the scent of salt and seaweed. In the distance, several towering sea stacks rise abruptly from the water, their dark, weathered silhouettes standing in stark contrast against the misty and ethereal horizon. These ancient formations, carved over millennia by relentless waves and wind, are composed primarily of sandstone and basalt, showcasing the dynamic geological forces that have shaped this coastline. Their geology tells a story of volcanic activity, ocean erosion, and tectonic movements, all coming together to create this breathtaking landscape. As I continue to explore Bandon Beach, the dramatic clouds above signal imminent rain. So I pick up my equipment and I head back to my car.
