Description
Lisbon’s urban mix is a dialogue between history and modernity, where centuries-old architecture stands alongside modern buildings. The old buildings, many adorned with traditional azulejos (blue-and-white ceramic tiles) create a mosaic that shows Portugal’s artistic heritage.The rooftops, usually made of terracotta, reflect the city’s organic growth over the centuries. The narrow, winding streets frame this architectural patchwork with a sense of intimacy and discovery. Beyond the hills, the lights of the so called “San Francisco Bridge” begin to glow, an unexpected but striking juxtaposition that anchors the scene in a broader context. On the other side of Tagus River, like a sentinel at the gates of the city, the illuminated statue of Jesus watches over, a quiet guardian against the fading light of the sunset.
