Description
“Rooftop Meditation” came from my fascination with how city life can feel both chaotic and calm at the same time. I wanted to create something that blended abstract shapes with the textures and colors of the urban environment. Using deep blues, reds, and oranges felt natural, as they reminded me of twilight hours when the city was vibrating with lights, but felt a little dreamy.
The blood moon hanging above is a personal touch, a symbol of quiet reflection amid all the noise below. By layering multiple exposures, I was able to bring out architectural details in subtle ways, creating a sense that there are so many untold stories hidden underneath. Working with abstraction in photography is like exploring a dialogue between reality and imagination.
Abstract art offers a fresh way to see familiar places, something that feels both mysterious and approachable. The mix of light, texture, and form invites viewers to pause and find their own meaning, even in a busy urban setting. With this piece, I hope to share that balance between stillness and movement, the everyday and the magical, woven together in the city’s rhythm.
