As a landscape photographer accustomed to capturing the beauty of nature, the restrictions on travel during the pandemic left me searching for inspiration closer to home. Unable to venture beyond the four walls of my apartment, I turned my lens towards the architecture just outside my windows. Solitude represents an abstract interpretation between man made structures and nature, where the aged façade of a building merges seamlessly with the delicate outlines of tree branches. Through layered exposures, the composition blurs the line between the tangible and ephemeral. Dominated by warm hues of yellow, gold, and brown, the image radiates intensity, an atmosphere that is both inviting and elusive.
